I spent most of my teen and young adult life struggling with drugs and alcohol and partaking in the darkness of the world. I was sowing in the flesh and reaping the outcome of my sin and the destruction that it brings
But my life was drastically changed by the saving life of Jesus Christ when I experienced Him in one of the darkest moments of my life.
The Lord shone His wonderful light into my life and I recommitted my life to Him In 2003. The Lord brought me to Calvary Chapel of San Jose where I served, worked ,lived, was schooled and went through discipleship for 3 years. And in 2006 I obeyed the Lord's call to come on at Calvary Chapel San Jose as Youth Pastor serving together with my beautiful wife Abby and our children ... all of it by God's amazing grace!

Hello, I am excited to join the ministry here focusing on Junior High student and family ministry. Our family had recently moved back to CCSJ Jose after 12 years of serving and fellowshipping at CC Mt. View. We first came to CCSJ, new in the faith, in 1996 and exchanged our vows that fall. My wife and I are blessed with a daughter in 7th grade and a son in 5th grade. I spent the last 3 years as a middle school teacher primarily for Bible and Math subjects in Los Altos. Prior to teaching I worked in the IT industry, but have been active in children's ministry ever since our first was in the nursery.
It has been an amazing journey; the way God has led me from being a rebellious youth to a saving knowledge and life with Him. I grew up between homes and only occasionally attended religious services.
It was though an invitation from my newly saved parents that led me (as well as my unsaved girlfriend/ future wife ;-) to seeing Jesus as He truly is truth for the first time. Praise the Lord for His goodness and His faithfulness!
I look forward to the times I get to serve and share with Jr High as we grow together in God's Word. We will be spend our times of fellowship and study sitting and getting to know Jesus together through His Word, and through studies, discussions, the breaking of bread, and seeking to glorify Him in all we do.

to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
