Our prayer for God’s mighty men of Calvary Chapel San Jose is that we would be as Joshua and take a stand for righteousness. How do we do that? We obey God by obeying His word. Regularly scheduled events are Men’s Prayer Meeting, Semi-Monthly Breakfasts, Annual Retreats and Conferences.

Women

Women's Bible Study is the cornerstone ministry to our women. We meet to fellowship, pray together and study God's Word.

Other events offered for women are the Weekly Prayer Meeting, Summer Ladies Nights Out, Annual Ladies Retreat and the Spring Tea.

Children

The focus of our Children’s Ministry is to help prepare our children for a life of service to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are committed to serving and supporting parents in the spiritual development of their children, from birth to age twelve. Our Children’s Ministry servants create an atmosphere filled with love and grace by which the Word of God speaks clearly and affects the daily lives of our children and their families.

Childcare is provided for all services.  No need to reserve, simply go to the childcare rooms located next to the gym by the church office parking lot.  If your child is older than 2 years old, you will be directed to the appropriate room.

College & Career

The focus of the College & Career Ministry is to come together as young adults between the ages of 18 and 30 who have a passion to serve Christ in the midst of this wicked world. We strive to gain strength in the Word and continue our personal walk with Him. This group meets to lift one another up in prayer and encourage each other’s spiritual growth.

The College & Career group normally meets once a month.

Most Excellent Way

“For God hath not given us a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7

The Most Excellent Way ministers to addicts and alcoholics who sincerely desire to become completely dependent upon Christ alone. It also helps equip family and friends to walk with them through this process. The meetings are free and open to anyone, just show up.

Youth

Junior High...

We live in a time when our youth are faced with so many decisions, some which will change their lives forever. Our goal in the Junior High Ministry is to preach the Word and love the kids. A big part of our ministry is prayer and worship, two very important keys to our Christian lives. Please join us on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings, as well as special events scheduled monthly.

Senior High...

The youth are the next generation. I am so excited to see what God is going to do in and through the youth. Our goal in the High School Ministry is to challenge the youth to have a closer walk with Jesus. We do this through preaching, teaching, and living the Word of God. Our Senior High Group meets Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings and has special events planned on a regular basis.

Agape Praise Night  – After Service (First Sunday Night of the Month)

The heart and vision of the Worship Ministry here at Calvary Chapel is to bring praise and glory to Jesus through worship. Though worship is the central element to our ministry, our hope is to encourage the body of Christ to grow in their personal worship of God. Our ministry depends on faithful, somewhat "invisible" servants who support us each week. They can be found helping with sound, lights, slide projection, rehearsals, and even a little muscle, helping us carry heavy things. If you would like to get involved please contact me here at the church and we'll see where the Lord takes us.

SonShiners

SonShiners, also known as the Adult Bible Study, meets Sundays at 8:30 AM. We study the Bible verse by verse, book by book, learning and applying God’s Word to our daily lives (II Tim. 2:15). We also meet on the 2^nd Thursday of each month at 10 AM for a potluck lunch and Bible study. We desire to be Spirit-filled and glorifying God (II Tim. 1:7). May the Lord bless you and keep you!

Home Fellowships

Home Fellowships are the building blocks of our body. We see in the book of Acts that the early church began and flourished in the homes of believers. Our Home Fellowship Ministries provide a small group setting, fostering an environment conducive to establishing close relationships, interactive Bible studies, and prayer.
