SPEAKERS

Jean McClure

Jean McClure married Don McClure in 1968. Soon after they went on staff at Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa, CA. It was when Kay Smith, Pastor Chuck’s wife, taught a Bible study in their home that Jean fell in love with ministering to women. The Lord has given her the privileged opportunity of heading up women’s ministries in the churches Don has pastored as well as the opportunity to share at women’s retreats and couple’s retreats with Don. The Lord blessed them with three boys, thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren that have given her countless illustrations.

Workshop: Finishing Well
This workshop will talk about things that are necessary in your life to help you finish well. It will also reveal those things that cause some to crash and burn along the way. Jean will share stories of godly older women she has know through the years and the keys that helped them do well all the way to the finish line.

BRENDA McClure

Brenda McClure is the wife of Mike McClure, and they have been serving at Calvary San Jose for 22 years, where she has attended her entire life. Amongst her many roles at Calvary, Brenda leads the women’s ministry, Virtuous Women, and helps at the church’s school, Calvary Christian Academy. One of her greatest blessings is her seven children, to whom she dedicates a bulk of her time managing, grocery shopping, cooking, and counseling, which she loves! In her free time, Brenda enjoys reading, cooking, decorating, event planning, tea parties with her girls, studying for and teaching Bible studies, and going on walks with her husband.

Workshop: Raising Children
As a culture, moms are parenting according to Satan’s lies instead of the promises of God! This workshop will reveal the lies that moms are believing and implementing when it comes to raising their children! We will then re-discover what God’s word promises regarding raising our children. When we parent according to God’s promises, our parenting will look very different from the culture!

Loren Linquist

Loren Linquist served alongside her husband Craig at CC San Jose for 13 years, they next felt the Lord calling them to mission work in Entebbe, Uganda. For the next 14 years they labored in living out the gospel. They planted CC Entebbe, where Craig served as the senior pastor until 2016. She taught the women the word of God, as well as training teachers in the school. At the end of 2017, realizing their aging parents needed some help, they came back to California, where Craig has been an assistant pastor at CC Thousand Oaks. Loren helps oversee the women's ministry, teaches Spanish, Literature, and History at a Christian High School. They have three sons.

Patti Height

Patti Height is passionate about the Word of God and seeing Jesus set people free. Through her own experience of identifying as gay at 12 years old, coming out in her 20s, and getting radically and miraculously saved at 36, she has seen the hand of God at work in a very personal way. In 2006, Patti founded Out of Eygpt Ministries and now travels the country equipping Christians with the love and truth of the Gospel to reach and minister to the LGBT community through local churches and venues.

Workshop: Ministering to Children in Captivity
Patti Height will share how to minister to your LGBT identifying children, family or friends as you wait on the Lord...2Sam 14:14b, “...Yet God does not take away a life; but He devises means, so that His banished ones are not expelled from Him.”

Workshop: Lies Young Women Believe
We are being bombarded with sexual imagery everywhere. Patti Height will encourage this generation on how to keep our minds pure, even if we have already been exposed to or have had sexual experiences...Song Of Solomon 2:7b...Do not stir up nor awaken love until it pleases and Song Of Solomon 4:7 "You are all fair, my love, and there is no spot in you". (This workshop would not be appropriate for young girls who do not have internet access)

Ruth Beeler

Ruth Beeler was born and raised in England and very much grew up in the ministry with her Father being a Pastor. After High School she attended Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murrieta, Ca where the Lord really transformed her life. In 2007 she met her husband Garid on a trip to California and they have now been married for 15 years with four beautiful children. Ruth has a heart for equipping the women of the church by teaching them the truths of God’s Word, and she loves apologetics!

Workshop: Marriage
The Battle for your Marriage:   Marriage is being attacked like never before. From the institution of marriage itself down to our individual marriages, it is clear that Satan is seeking to destroy! This session will look at how we fight the enemy and guard our marriages against the attacks that will inevitably come!

Denise Artzer

Denise Artzer lives in Twain Harte, with her husband, Bob, of 36 years. She is a mother and stepmother of five children, she has sixteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren with more on the way. Denise loves spending time with her children and grandchildren, being outdoors, and studying the bible. She is passionate about mentoring those younger in the faith and serves her local church in worship and coordinating meals. Amidst the changing seasons of her life is the steady call of God to “Go to the women of the church”.

Workshop: Women Mentoring Women
Saved as a young adult, Denise will share God’s provision of much needed mentoring in her life and her ongoing journey as disciple and mentor. Her hope is to encourage you to reach out and invest in God’s Kingdom, one relationship at a time. 

Stephanie Minick

Stephanie Minick is from the rural Sonora area. She is wife to Aaron for 12 years. Together they have been blessed with five children - their youngest a set of one year old twin girls! Stephanie loves Christian education, reading good books to her children, motherhood, homemaking, the outdoors, coffee, and studying the bible with friends!

Workshop: Purity
Stephanie was born and raised in a Christian home and has clung to the promise that in obedience to God, there is blessing. She will share some of her story, highlighting God’s call to purity, and living a life that is set apart.

Karenna Ratze

Karenna Ratze is from Bloomfield Hills MI, and is currently studying art and design at the University of Michigan. While studying, she has created a business called Kaloomma Textiles. 

Within her work, she enjoys using beautiful materials and specializes in timeless art forms, such as weaving, knitting, and hand sewing. Kaloomma Textiles offers a variety of handmade creations, all designed and fashioned personally. She looks forward to sharing her unique creations with you as part of this event!

Eliza Perez

Eliza Perez has been serving on staff at Calvary San Jose for 11 years. She has a love for the Lord and serving His people. She loves serving in ministry, ministering to single ladies, enjoys spontaneous adventures, games nights, reading books that will spur her in the Word, and quiet time with Jesus! She is blessed to have her daughter Gaby and son-in-law Dylan Copeland serve in Jr. High Ministry.

Workshop: Serving God in Singleness
Eliza is single, and serves the Lord in obedience and joy. She loves using her free time in building His Kingdom. She will share how serving others can bring much joy and cultivate friendships, while helping you keep your eyes on Him.
