Meet the Man Behind the Pulpit.

Michael Aaron McClure was born in Newport Beach in 1974. He was the second of three sons to Don and Jean McClure. Michael was blessed to have grown up in the ministry as the son of a Pastor. His father served as Pastor of Calvary Chapel Lake Arrowhead, Calvary Chapel Redlands and Calvary Chapel San Jose. At the age of three Michael came to Christ by the praying the sinner’s prayer at the invitation of his six-year-old brother. 

God’s call upon Michael’s life was a gradual one. Early in his life, the Lord spoke to Michael calling him to live a life “set apart” for Him. His inspiration was the prophet Daniel in the Old Testament. In Junior High Michael entered into a personal and loving relationship with Jesus Christ and fell in love with the word of God. It has become His passion ever since. 

In 2001 Michael was called by God to assist his father at Calvary Chapel San Jose as an Assistant Pastor, Youth Pastor and when his father left in 2003, Senior Pastor. As a pastor, Michael desires to see people walking victoriously in Christ through reading the Word of God, fellowshipping with Christ in prayer, and living by His Holy Spirit. His messages are verse by verse through the bible and always center on the power of the cross and the Holy Spirit in ones life! Michael’s life verse is Psalm 37:4 “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” As he was delighted in his Savior, the Lord has blessed him with a loving and gracious church family, a loving wife of sixteen years and six precious children!

The McClure Family

Mike and Brenda Mike has been married to his wife Brenda for sixteen years. They share the same life verse found in Psalm 37:4, “Delight thyself in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.”	Their Family Both Michael and Brenda could not be more thankful for the children God has blessed them with. They truly are a gift and reward from God. Their children are Daniel, Micah, Joshua, Samuel, Hannah and Abigail.	His Parents Michael and Brenda are so thankful for the heritage they have been given through the life of Michael’s parents, Don and Jean McClure.
